Our pickles are handcrafted by women from Baandi village in Himachal Pradesh, using recipes rooted in local kitchens. These recipes have been passed down through generations, and the women who make them bring their knowledge and skill to every batch.
The Mustard Women is a women-led collective based in the foothills of Himachal Pradesh. We produce small-batch pickles and chutneys using traditional Himachali recipes, locally sourced produce, mustard oil, and a fully handmade process. Every jar reflects the flavours of regional kitchens and the experience of the women who have been making these recipes for generations.
The idea emerged during a conversation between our founder Nupur and Sunila, our head pickler, whose exceptional homemade pickles sparked the realisation that these recipes deserved a wider audience after a year of testing, refining, and shelf-life trials, Mustard Women officially launched in late 2025.
Each jar is sealed with an induction foil seal to maintain freshness and prevent any leakage during transit. This helps preserve the natural aroma and flavour of our pickles.
Our pickles are packed in high-quality, food-grade PET plastic jars. These jars are durable and shatterproof, making them safer for shipping while ensuring the product reaches you in good condition.
Our pickles have a shelf life of approximately 10–12 months when stored in a cool, dry place and handled with a clean, dry spoon.
